So what K-Cups have the most? 0.47 oz seems to be the practical limit for K-Cups due to their dimensions, but I did see 0.48 oz from Barista Prima at one point in the distant past. Note that other products from the same manufacturer listed below do NOT necessarily have the stated high amount of coffee, only the individual products listed have the amount stated so watch out for that. In fact K-Cups that have more than about 0.42 oz in them have a plastic ring inside the bottom of the K-Cup that keeps the bottom needle from penetrating the internal filter and causing a clog, because it is hanging so low inside the K-Cup filled with actual coffee. ![]() This includes all K-Cups sold by Green Mountain. So after hours of research & tasting I have come to the conclusion that if your K-Cup has less than about 0.43 oz of coffee in it, you are being ripped off. This is the dirty secret of K-Cups: the actual amount of coffee in them is not clearly disclosed. This can be a real adventure as frequently the part of the box disclosing this value is "accidentally" blocked in the picture by an individual K-Cup or other object. The thing is the actual amount of coffee grounds in each K-Cup is NEVER disclosed in the specs, and the only way to figure it out is to look at pictures of the box which are required to state the actual coffee content by law. I've had worse, but the issue is this particular K-cup clogs up DW's Keurig machine, and she is sore unhappy with me! I have attempted to use this K-cup: Café Bustelo Espresso Style Dark Roast Coffee. Circumstances force me to go this route if I hope to be able to have an espresso if DW is not home. I hang my head in shame even thinking about using a K-cup for espresso. ![]()
